Transcribed Chancellor families in Virginia Counties: Woods, Rappahanock, Hanover, Henrico, Goochland, Prince William, and Spotsylvania (includes Chancellorville). My family line descends from Benjamin Chancellor in Woods County thru his son John (age 11 in this census).
1850 Lee County Iowa Census for John C. Chancellor and Elizabeth Trickett Families
John C. and Katherine Chancellor family and Elizabeth Trickett family were on same page of census, only two families apart. Mary Ann Trickett married the Patrick Chancellor in John Chancellors family Aug 22, 1858 in Missouri. Sarah Jane Trickett, age 9 in this census married John C. Chancellor, son of Benjamin Chancellor (Brother to this John C.) in Scotland County, Missouri on Feb 22, 1863

John Cooper CHANCELLOR and wife Catherine SINNETT in Scott County, Arkansas along with two sons and their families. Thomas Jefferson Chancellor and wife Mariah TRICKETT, possibly an aunt of Sarah Jane TRICKETT living with them. Sarah married John Cooper CHANCELLOR (22 Feb 1863 in Scotland County, MO.), son of Benjamin CHANCELLOR, brother of the John in this census. James Cooper CHANCELLOR is also a son of this John, married to Anne UNDERWOOD. Notice the spelling of CHANCELLOR in the cesus (Chanselor).

1860 Sandhill Township, Scotland County, Missouri census shows George C., Richard M. and Prudence Catherine CHANCELLOR living with the William TRICKETT family. William was a brother to Sarah Jane TRICKETT, who married John C. CHANCELLOR, a brother to these CHANCELLORS, 22 Feb 1863 in this county. Both John C. and his father, Benjamin CHANCELLOR, were listed in this census with other families in this county as farm laborers also. Notice the spelling of CHANCELLOR in this census (Chansgallen).
